"I'm thrilled with writing!"
As long as I can remember I like stories. It started with little toddler Anita eagerly listening to fairy tales, and when I finally learned reading I read whenever I had the time.
As a teenager I discovered Barbara Cartland and Harlequin's Bouquet series. From that moment on I knew what I liked most: Romance!
Gorgeous, dark heroes saving damsels in distress...
I went to University and studied Medieval History. Why? Because the Middle Ages were the most romantic period ever. That's why!
It was the time when handsome knights in shining armor courted beautiful Ladies who lived in real castles.
Sigh!
Okay, I must admit that this led to various quarrels with my teachers about what was really important. :-)
Twelve years ago I subscribed to a writing course and I found out that my teacher was very enthusiastic about my work.
I thought the man must be highly exaggerating and to prove him wrong I sent one of my short stories to a magazine.
But my teacher had been right, and I sold the story almost immediately.
Shortly after that the magazine Yes asked me to write a romance novel and "A Jump for Love" was my very first sell.
I still like reading, but I can assure you, writing is the most wonderful thing on earth!
