The Enchanted CastleThe most wonderful job in the world... It’s cold in fall-like Holland. A stormy wind is howling around the house, and ice cold raindrops smash against the window. But I don’t notice the horrible weather. My current work-in-progress is set in summery Venice. In my minds eye I’m sitting on a sunny terrace next to the famous Canal Grande. A glass of bubbling wine in my hand and a gorgeous hottie at my side... Yes, being an author is the most wonderful job in the world! Grab your chance to win a unique A Mysterious Knight Coffee mug! HAPPY THANKSGIVING! He laid her on the table So white and clean and bare His forehead wet with beads of sweat He rubbed her here and there He touched her neck and then her breast Then drooling felt her thigh The slit was wet and all was set He gave a joyous cry The hole was wide He looked inside All was dark and murky He rubbed his hands and stretched his arms And then... he stuffed the turkey. I'd like to wish all my dear American readers and friends a very Happy Thanksgiving. Don't eat too much turkey, gals! Have a great Holiday! The Smurf... There was a funny article in our newspaper that I’d like to share with you. It’s about this woman walking her dog in the park. Suddenly, a man jumped in front of her, and opening his raincoat he showed her his family jewels. The woman told him to go the moon, and walked on. Next day, however the streaker was back. The woman got so annoyed she bought herself a sprayer. When the salami salesman jumped in front of her again, she sprayed indelible blue paint all over him. Cops arrested the Smurf on the spot. He’ll be looking blue for the rest of the month. Ha, that’ll serve him right! There's still time to grab your chance and win a unique A Mysterious Knight Coffee mug! Coming soon from NCP! Grab your chance to win this unique mug! Cats! My loyal readers know I adore cats. I've three fluffy pedigree Birmans and two tortie house cats. In my office room I've put a scratching pole on a cabinet near the window. While I write on my books, my cats do good by being sound asleep on the pole. The pole is high though, at least two yards above the floor, and I mostly try to disencourage my eldest cat Dotje to sit on it. Dotje is suffering from epilepsy. Plus, she's almost 18 years old, which is 90 in human lifetime. But although I can't imagine my 90 years old Grandma jump into scratching poles, Dotje has no problems with it. Today, I'm working hard to meet a looming deadline when I suddenly hear strange noises next to me. I look up and see Dotje hanging from the pole, clenching herself to the pole with one nail only. Help! The poor soul can fall down any second! ![]() I rush from my chair, but it's too late. Belly up, Dotje tumbles to the floor. Oh no, she'll land on her back and break all her fragile bones! But I'm too far away, I can't do anything to catch her. I can only look at the horrible events as if watching a slow movie. Then, inches above the hard stone floor, Dotje smoothly turns her body, and lands on all four. She looks up at my horrified face, and it's just as if she wants to say, "What's the big deal, Mommy?" Stretching her body like only cats can do, she scoots up the pole again. And while I try to get my breathing and wildly pounding heart in control, she curls up for the next nap. CATS! Ounces and clothing I went to see the famous Musical Mama Mia and I enjoyed myself very much. And I learned something highly unexpected that I'd like to share with you, ladies. The actress playing Donna was suffering from several ounces too much. That was immediately clear when she jumped onto the stage. She wore a blue apron over a white dress, and she looked fat. In the next scene she'd put on some tight soft blue Elvis Pressley suit, and she definitely looked like a dragon. Good grief, this woman had the biggest thighs I'd ever seen. The curtains closed, and after the coffee break we sat down again to watch the second part of the Musical. On stage came a good looking woman in a black dress. It was taken in at the waist, and had a flared skirt. She looked great. It took me a few minutes to realize that this slender good looking woman was the same actress as the dragon in the Elvis suit... So, if you're suffering from a few ounces too much --- and ladies who doesn't? --- dark colors and flared skirts will do the trick! A wonderful review... Today is one of those days that make all the sufferings a writer has to endure worth the while. Romance Junkies Reviewer Briana Burress reviewed my paranormal erotic romance THE ENCHANTED CASTLE, and awarded four blue ribbons! ![]() ![]() ![]()
